Code of Conduct for parents/carers and spectators

FOUR OAKS SAINTS CRICKET CLUB

Code of Conduct for parents/carers and spectators

The following code has being developed with the ECB and the Junior committee. We are a family club and want to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all our Junior members.

· Encourage your child to learn the rules and play within them. Encourage your child to practice at home.

· Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials.

· Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results.

· Never force your child to take part in sport.

· Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performances of all.

· Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes.

· Publicly accept officials’ judgements.

· Support your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their sport.

· Use correct and proper language at all times.

· Ensure your child arrives on time for each training session and match ( please note latecomers may miss out)

· Ensure your child is wearing appropriate attire ( Minimum requirement – cricket whites, trainers or boots, athletic support, cricket protector)

· Please do not interrupt a coach during a training session or match unless it cannot wait until afterwards

· Please keep children that are not participating away from playing surface during coaching sessions or matches

Parents who do not intend staying for matches or training must leave a contact telephone number and ensure that they pick up their child once the sessions finish
